The Nerve of Those Guys!

Today I was substituting for a 10th grade class because their teacher was sick.  I had planned to let them do the boring worksheets for the first half of the class, and then do something fun.  Well, for starters, only about half of the class was there.  Secondly, they had not done any of the work from yesterday, because they claimed no one was there to unlock the classroom door.  Thirdly, 4 students came in 30 minutes late.  I asked them where they were, and they said they went to the supermarket!!  I asked them why they went to the supermarket when they were supposed to have class.  Their response - we thought no one was coming.  They didn't seem to think they'd done anything wrong, and even had the nerve to ask why I was angry at them!  Needless to say, we did not get to watch English TV.
