Expected Packages:
- Thanksgiving Box from Mom
- Digital Camera
- Christmas Box from Mom
I ordered a digital camera online Sunday night, and it was supposed to be delivered to me Monday. Monday came and went with no camera. I checked online and the postal service said that there was an address error. I called them, asked what this meant, and scheduled a redelivery for this morning. Still confused about what an address error was/meant since I had given them the correct address, I just chocked it up to some paperwork problem.
I got the Christmas box first on Thursday, and it was AWESOME! I called mom and we still couldn't figure out where the Thanksgiving box was, since it was mailed first. Expecting the delivery of my camera between 7 and 12 today, I got up early and waited . . . no camera. I had to go to school, so I went to the ground floor of my building to speak to the old woman who lives there named Frau Otte. I had met her/talked to her several times before and she is very sweet. I asked her if she could please sign for the package if it was delivered while I was gone. She looked at me closely (she can't see very well) and said, "What is your name again?"
I told her, and she said, "The postman has been here two or three times with packages for someone, but I couldn't remember your name, so I told him you didn't live here."
Since she told the postman I did not live there, I now have a sign on the door letting him know that I do, in fact, live here and would still like to receive mail. On a happier note, I did get my camera this afternoon (Frau Otte remembered my name and signed for it this time) and it's AMAZING!
