Thanksgiving Part 1

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!
Thanksgiving Morning in Germany
 There was snow!

delicious dinner
Some lovely people from Peine invited me to their "American" Thanksgiving meal in Hildesheim last night.  The rule is - at least one person from your family must have an American passport to attend the meal and they make the most "American" dishes possible.  There were too many people to have the meal in someone's home, so it was at the church in Hildesheim.

We had turkey with gravy, ham, sweet potato casserole, green been casserole, stuffing, potatoes in a jacket, cranberry sauce, apple cider, pumpkin pie, and many more delicious things.

I couldn't really decide what I wanted most, so I got a sampling of pretty much everything.

I'm so thankful they invited me because I met some of the nicest and most welcoming people.
