Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Valentine's day so far.  This past weekend I went to the "Frauen Freizeit" or the Ladies Weekend in Bergkirchen with some wonderful women from my church in Peine.  We had Bible study groups, worship time, and lots of fellowship.  It was a really neat experience to meet these women from all over Germany.  There were about 50 women there and actually many of them were Americans.  Bergkirchen is a very tiny town located north of Hanover and I had a fun time roaming around with friends and taking silly pictures.  To see more pictures of Bergkirchen click here.

Today is Valentine's Day and I had to put up with my 8th grade students passing love notes in class.  It's funny how that kind of thing is the same in every culture.  Tom didn't want to write Lena a letter himself, so he got his friend Felix to write it and go give it to her.  Lena got mad and embarrassed since he did that in front of the whole class, wouldn't open the note, and called Tom a name I won't repeat.  Ah to be young and in love!
