I'm very proud of myself today. Last night, the church in Peine hosted a Superbowl party which turned out to be a lot of fun. There were about 13 people there, and half of them were Germans! One of the Germany television channels actually broadcast the game live from the states, so the commentary was all in German too. The game began around 6:30 pm in the states, which would make is 12:30 am here in Germany. The game was over around 4:30 am and then we had to clean everything up. Ironically, everyone but me had either taken off work for the next day, or didn't have to go to work until the afternoon, while I had to be back in Braunschweig by 7:45 am. The reason I am so proud of myself is that I was able to stay awake during work today, and we even watched a movie in one class! Mondays are my busiest day - I normally have 4 blocks of class which equals seven hours. Luckily the last one was canceled, so I came back to my apartment and crashed on my couch.
I can take some small comfort in the fact that the Packers won the Superbowl - it makes it look better that Atlanta was out in the first round of the playoffs.
