Yesterday, Randy and Katie were nice enough to take me to the chocolate factory in Peine after church. It's the Rausch chocolate factory and is actually pretty big. Their museum and shop is called Schokoland, or Chocolate Land, and includes a look into the making of chocolate and some of the world record chocolate figures, including the world's largest chocolate Easter bunny, the world's largest sitting Easter bunny, an Aztec truffle pyramid, a giant Santa made of smaller chocolate Santas, a giant chocolate owl, a chocolate Titanic, a chocolate German Parliament building. There was also a fabulously 80's movie about the making of chocolate and a room devoted to the Aztec history of chocolate.
